Winter Storm Warning overnight through Tuesday

Winter Storm Warning for the pink counties and Winter Storm Watch for counties in blue.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning that is in effect from 1 am Monday, February 15 through 1 pm on Tuesday, February 16 for portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky and central, south central, southwest and west central Ohio.

Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 11 inches, with locally heavier totals likely. A mix of freezing rain and sleet is also likely over South Central Ohio and Northeast Kentucky Monday afternoon into Monday night. One to two-tenths of an inch of ice accumulation is possible in those areas.

Snowfall tonight will amount to around 2 inches with the heaviest snow falling from 4 pm to 12 am Monday. Snowfall rates in excess of an inch an hour at times with locally heavier periods.

Hazardous travel conditions will severely impact commutes during this time.
