BATESVILLE, Ind. — The bitter cold is settling in across Southeast Indiana, and the National Weather service has issued a couple of Wind Chill Advisories for our listening area.
The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Decatur County effective from 10 PM tonight until 11:00 AM tomorrow morning.
Forecasters in Indianapolis are saying that wind chill values could be as cold as 20 below zero overnight.
If precautions are not taken frostbite and hypothermia will occur.
If you must venture outdoors be sure to wear a hat and gloves. The National Weather Service in Wilmington Ohio has also issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Franklin County from 2:00 AM tomorrow morning until noon tomorrow.
Forecasters say that Wind chill values could be as cold as 12 below.
Take extra precautions if you go outside and cover as much of your skin as possible to prevent frost bite.
