Wilma Jean (Noble) Brewer, 80, of Westport, passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus. She was born on January 31, 1944, in Breathitt County, Kentucky, the daughter of Norris and Dorothy (Tharp) Noble. She graduated from Leatherwood High School in 1962 and moved to Westport in 1969. She was a teacher’s assistant in the South Decatur Schools and was a member of the International Church of God and attended the Westport Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking, sending cards to neighbors and friends, taking care of her family and listening to Gospel Music. Wilma married William “Billy” Brewer in Whick, Kentucky on September 5, 1964. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2018. Wilma is survived by her daughters, Delana Brewer and Alissa (Gregory) Isenberg both of Westport; her son, William Dale (Tawana) Brewer of Westport; her sister, Cheryl “Cookie” Noble of Jackson, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Alisha (Austin) Haas, Zachary Brewer and Lydia (Kirby) Isenberg-Owens all of Westport; her great grandson, Alius Haas of Westport; her cousin, sister-in-law and lifelong friend, Judy Brewer of Westport. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother, Norris Randall Noble. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on August 21, 2024, at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 12:00 until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the Hospitality Committee at Westport Baptist Church through the funeral home.
