Wilma Jean (Bullard) Spears, 77

Wilma Jean (Bullard) Spears, 77, of New Point, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at home with close family at her side.  Born February 21, 1944 in Germantown, Indiana, she was the daughter of William Edward Bullard and Nellie Jean Miller.

Wilma was a member of the New Point Baptist Church.  She attended St. Paul High School and achieved her GED at age 60.  She served her community for many years at Korner Kleaners, Ketchum Shell Station, and part owner of WS Painting Company.  She absolutely loved telling her childhood stories, watching her family grow, reading romance and western novels, and challenging herself watching “Jeopardy” as she was always a straight A student and was so intelligent.

She married the love of her life, Hubert K. Spears on June 9, 1973 and he preceded her in death on August 10, 2000.

Wilma is survived by children; Jeff Hollin, Milroy, Mary (Derrick) Roberts, Center, Texas; Amanda Griffin, New Point; stepson, Donnie (Karen) Spears, Ohio; daughters-in-law, Lisa Hollin, Osgood and Viola Hollin, Florida; brother, Fred Miller, Greensburg; grandchildren, Danielle, Derrick, Darren, Dallas III, Dakota, Heather S., Michaela, Adam, Skyler, Dylan, Samantha, Christopher M., Charles, Heather G., Jason, Dori, Jessi, Josh, Matt, Jeremy, and Christopher S.; several great and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brothers, Robert “Sonny” Bullard, Kenneth “Butch” Bullard, Tom Miller; Sons, Dallas Hollin, Jr., Elbert Grant Hollin; stepsons, Ronnie Spears, Randy Spears, Daryl Spears; son-in-law, David Griffin.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 12 to 2:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Troy Caudill officiating. Burial will follow at the Rossburg Cemetery in New Point, Indiana.
