Willa Jean Henson, age 76, of Brookville, Indiana died Monday, March 13, 2017 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville, Indiana.
Born February 23, 1941 in Laurel, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Joshua & Ellen M. (Houston) Ball. On September 8, 1956 she was united in marriage to David E. Henson and he survives.
She was retired from Sperry Rubber & Plastics in Brookville where she had worked for over 25 years. In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening and flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Besides David, her husband of over 60 years, survivors include a son, David M. Henson of Brookville, Indiana; a daughter, Teresa Ann Metcalf of Brookville, Indiana; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Linkel of Batesville, Indiana and Brenda Martin of Brookville, Indiana; and a brother, Wesley Ball of Brookville, Indiana.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lorene Dunn, as well as three brothers Kenneth, Donald and Charles Ball.
Family & friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home; burial will then follow at Sims Cemetery in New Fairfield.
