Wildcat Volleyball loses in five at Northeastern

It was another tough five-set loss by Franklin County at Northeastern Tuesday: 20-25, 25-12, 23-25, 25-20 and 15-12.

“We matched up against a strong serving team and just barely fell short in sets four and five,” said Frankin County coach Jill Mergenthal.  “We have a strong serving team too. We served a very aggressive game but were not able to pull ahead on the scoreboard.”

(JV) Franklin County 2, Northeastern 1 (home): 6-25, 25-19, 15-2

The Franklin County JV  won in three games.  After falling big 25-6 in game one, the JV Cats bounced back to win 25-19 and 15-2.

“Set one was a little rough, but the girls came out ready to play in sets two and three,” said FC assistant coach Tana Stang.  “They played every point with effort, determination and as a team. I’m very proud with how the girls ended up playing.”

  • Daphne Stokes and Vivian Silas- 1 kill each
