Westport, In. — Officials in Westport fear the body found near the dam could be that of a woman missing since June 26.
A search party including Westport Town Marshalls, Decatur County Sheriff Greg Allen, Westport Volunteer Fire Department, Indiana Conservation officers and volunteers found the body of a woman around 10 a.m. Wednesday. The body was found about one-half mile south of the Westport Dam in an area of thick bushes.
Jamilyn Valdovia was last seen in that area on June 26. Foul play is not suspected. The identity will be confirmed following an autopsy.
