Wanetta Eisert, age 73 of Batesville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born March 6, 1951, in Batesville, she is the daughter of Robert and Alberta (Nee: Schneider) Stille. She married Robert R. “Red” Eisert in the Summer of 1974 at St. Louis Church in Batesville and he preceded her in death on September 4, 1991.
Wanetta was an English teacher at Batesville Middle School for over 40 years. She influenced countless students and colleagues throughout her career. Along with her husband, she owned and operated the award-winning restaurant Red’s Oasis Inn in Morris, Indiana.
In life, she held honesty and truth very close to her heart. She was always an example of the person who chose the moral route at every junction without hesitation. It inspired her family, friends, and colleagues to strive for excellence in whatever they did.
She valued her family above all. Even those in her circle who were not technically her family were treated as they were. She made sure everyone was taken care of without worry of what that might have left her. She was truly a selfless, intelligent, and loving mother to many.
She is survived by her sons Bob (Amber) Eisert of St. Paul, Indiana, and Sam (Michelle) Eisert of Batesville; grandchildren Robert, Luke, and Wyatt; sisters Michelle Goodman of Wisconsin and Pam Cope of Batesville. In addition to her parents and husband, Wanetta was preceded in death by her brothers Bob Olliges and Mike Stille.
