(Versailles, IN) – Jerry Walker repeated as Great Pumpkin Weigh-In champion at the Versailles Pumpkin Show on Saturday.
The blue ribbon-winning gourd weighed in at 981.5 pounds.
Walker, who is from Versailles, says he has some secrets on how to grow huge pumpkins.
“Go to YouTube and watch an hour 45 minute video by James Beauchemin. He’ll tell you everything you need to know about it, what fertilizer, everything to do.”
The weigh-in took place following the Pumpkin Show parade.
Longtime Versailles Lions Club and 57-year educator Gary Holdsworth had the honor of serving as parade grand marshal.
