‘Victorian Christmas’ tours offered in Aurora

Aurora, In. — Hillforest Victorian House Museum will feature the “Victorian Christmas” exhibit Tuesday through Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. November 21 through December 30. The Museum is located at 213 Fifth Street in Aurora.

The property was the home of industrialist and financier Thomas Graff and his family from 1855 to 1926. The example of Italianate architecture was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1992 and served the community as a museum since 1955.

General Admission: 15 & up, $15, Students 7-14, $8, Hillforest and Indiana Landmarks members, $8.00, children 6 and under are free.

Hillforest’s Victorian Christmas Tea Times are scheduled December 5, 7, and 9 beginning at 1:00 p.m.  The event includes a tour of the museum, a three-course tea served in the elegant Hillforest parlors featuring delicious seasonal treats, and flavored tea.   Cost is $28.00 for Hillforest members and $30.00 for non-members.
