Vicky Darlene Johnson, 73

Vicky Darlene Johnson, 73, of Greensburg passed away on December 6, 2023. She was born on August 9, 1950 in Kokomo, Indiana the daughter of Ralph and Irene Davenport Dunlap. Vicky was a 1969 graduate of Western High School and attended Vincennes University. On June 27, 1970 she married Jerry Wayne Johnson and together they had three children: Benjamin, Jennifer and Matthew. Vicky worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at North Decatur Elementary School and Northside Middle School in Columbus. She stayed busy as the wife of a minister and enjoyed devoting herself into the Children’s Ministry. They were members of the Community Church of Greensburg.
Survivors include: Husband, Rev. Jerry Johnson; Children, Benjamin (Amy) Johnson, Jennifer (Michael) Myers and Matthew (Jennifer) Johnson; Grandchildren, Brittany (Michael) Blasdel, Allison (Jake) Mattox, Michaela Myers, Miles Johnson, Nina Johnson and Caitlin Chitwood; Great Grandchildren, Bailey Blasdel, Malcolm Blasdel, Mallory Blasdel, Magdalena Mattox, Evangeline Mattox and Lydia Mattox; and Brother, Mark (Debbie) Dunlap. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of the Funeral at 1:00 pm. Pastor Seth Bartal will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Community Church of Greensburg or to the American Cancer Society.
