Vickie (Bushhorn) McKee, 67, of Aurora, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on Friday, October 16, 1953 in Milan, Indiana to Clyde and Gertrude “Tootie” (Parker) Bushhorn. Vickie went on to marry her loving husband, Howard, on Saturday, May 30, 1998 and he survives.
Vickie enjoyed crafts such as painting ceramics and crocheting. She felt most comfortable in the kitchen and was an excellent baker. Her meticulous attention to detail allowed her to get every recipe exactly right. Vickie had a special love for Elvis and could listen to him for hours. She also enjoyed flowers and spending time with her family.
Vickie will be deeply missed by her husband, Howard McKee of Aurora; stepdaughters Heidi (Jerry) Abner of Clarksville, Tennessee, Jamie (Brandon) Lorton of Lawrenceburg, and Danielle (Pete) Hommell of New York; brother Rick Bushhorn of Osgood; sister Patty Ruble of Milan; nieces Megan (Andrew) Kreutzjans and Jessica (Billy) Bowen; nephew Patrick (Carissa) Ruble; 1 great niece, 4 great nephews, and 7 step grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember the life of Vickie on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Hope Baptist Church located at 15593 US 50, Dillsboro, Indiana 47018. A service will follow immediately after with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Burial will be held at New Craven Cemetery in Milan.
