Vickie Ann (Hall) Hamilton, age 63, of New Trenton, Indiana, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born January 18, 1961, in Newport, Kentucky, the daughter of Carl Hall and Betty (McNeil) Hall.
Vickie married her high school sweetheart, Steve Hamilton, on June 26, 1979, in Whitley County, Kentucky, where she graduated from high school and went on to become a nurse for many years. She was loved by many of her patients. She was a very good writer, and she loved crocheting, sewing, quilting, caring for others, and so much more.
She is survived by her loving husband Steve Hamilton. Mother Betty Hall Byrd. She was a loving mother to Joe Hamilton and Danny (Amanda) Hamilton. She was a Nana to Austin, Emily, Elizabeth, and Elaina Hamilton. A Great-Nana to Maverick and Taylor. Sister of Keith (Julie) Hall, Rebecca (Butch) Glidewell, Jeannie (David) Bays, Carl Hall Jr., Beulah (Kevin) Cable, and Dessie (James) Tirey. Aunt and a Great-Aunt to many
She was proceeded in death by her father Carl Hall, Sr. and many other beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Vickie’s home always had an open door for anyone in need or to provide a place to sleep or even just a shoulder to cry on. She loved spending time with her family, fishing, taking road trips to the smokies, or even just sitting down having a good meal. She will be missed but never forgotten.
Vickie wanted her service to be a celebration of life not a time for sadness or burden, she wanted a simple gathering with her family that will be planned later when weather allows and details will be shared later. Her ashes will be spread in some of her favorite places.
