Jefferson County, IN — A Vevay man was killed in a fiery single-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning on State Road 256.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says a car driven by 60-year-old Thomas Sutton went off the road and struck a tree before catching fire.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they tried to pull Sutton out of the wreckage but the fire was too intense.
Firefighters arrived shortly afterward and extinguished the flames.
Sutton was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
