Vera Dagnon, 99, of Aurora, Indiana passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016.
She was born Saturday, October 28, 1916 in Gays Mills, WI, daughter of the late Erick Erickson and the late Gertrude Fuss Erickson.
Vera used to work at the polls; she had very strong political views. She sold AVON for several years, but spent most of her time raising her 9 children. She was a hard working woman and was an excellent cook and baker. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Surviving are children, Nancy (Roy) Whitaker of Hebron, KY, Mary (Lowell) Buck of Merritt Island, FL, Spencer Dagnon of Aurora, IN, Johnny Dagnon of Aurora, IN, Gloria (Bruce) Compton of Terre Haute, IN, Steve (late Melissa) Dagnon of HVL Lawrenceburg, IN, Tess (late Bob) Johnson of Aurora, IN, Jayne (Gary) Granatir of Aurora, IN; 22 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; son, Mike Dagnon; brothers, Robert, Donald and Alvin Erickson.
Friends will be received 12:00 – 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.
Graveside services will be held at River View Cemetery, Tuesday at 2:30 pm.
