Eastbound and westbound lanes of US 50 at 421 in Versailles were closed down this morning due to a multi-vehicle accident. The accident occurred at the “Y” which sits outside of Versailles Farm and Garden. The Ripley County Sheriff’s Department has said the scene remains active and that wreckers are en route to aid in accident cleanup. The sheriff’s department has not released further details and did not have a timetable on when US 50 would be reopened.
