(Osgood, IN) – The Upper Room Café in Osgood is hosting a 12 Days of Coffee event throughout this month to spotlight organizations that serve some of the most vulnerable people in our area – from children facing life threatening illnesses to families struggling through crises.
The event starts December 11 and runs through the 22nd.
Each day of the event highlights a different group. Collectively, they represent a wide range of needs in Southeastern Indiana, including:
- Bucket Buddies Mission — creating comfort buckets for children facing life threatening illnesses and delivering hope to nursing home residents
- Special Olympics — supporting individuals with special needs through community inclusion, sports, and empowerment
- Women of Alabaster — offering support and recovery pathways for women in crisis
- Salvation Army — providing local families with food, emergency help, and Christmas assistance
- Habitat for Humanity — helping families secure safe and affordable housing
- Phi Beta Psi — funding cancer research and offering direct help to cancer patients
- Backpack Buddies — feeding children who may not have meals outside of school
- Child Evangelism Fellowship — offering youth programs and support for kids in the community
- Gibault Inc. — providing critical treatment and care for youth facing behavioral or emotional struggles
- Letters to Active Military — sending encouragement and support to service members away from home during the holidays
The café will also feature a surprise new drink or food item each day.
And there are other special features planned, such as Santa’s visit on December 21, and guests who try all 12 drinks will receive a free Upper Room Christmas ornament.
