Updated service information for John Knueven of Sunman

UPDATED OBITUARY – SERVICE INFORMATION ADDED

John Michael Knueven of Sunman was born on January 13, 1953, in Batesville, a son to John W. and Mary Ann Graf Knueven.  He graduated from Sunman High School and later married Karen B. Schneider at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.  John started working at the age of 13 at Sunman IGA.  He was a meat cutter at Wayne’s Meats in Milan and most recently worked for Valeo in Greensburg.  He was proud to have served his country in the National Guard with over 25 years of service.  John was a member of St. Nicholas Church and the New Alsace Legion.  In his spare time he enjoyed spending time at the sporting events of his children and grandchildren.  On Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the age of 70, he passed away unexpectedly at his residence.

Those surviving who will cherish John’s memory include his wife, Karen Knueven; sons, John P. of Sunman, Terry (Tina) of Oldenburg, Ryan P. (Amber) of Manchester, and Brandon W. (Anne) of Sunman; daughters, Lori B. (Bruce) Kennedy of Sunman, and Amber (Randy)Wahman of Oldenburg; 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are two brothers, Michael and William Knueven.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Knueven.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.  Burial will be at a later date.
