Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

(Laurel, IN) – A traffic stop in Laurel on Thursday led to a woman’s arrest on drug charges.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy spotted an equipment violation on a vehicle and pulled it over near Old U.S. 52 and State Road 121.

During the stop, deputies say they detected and spotted illegal substances and related items.

Fifty-four-year-old Wendy Isaacs was arrested and was taken to the Franklin County Security Center where she’s being held on preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 6 felony) and Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C misdemeanor).
