Thomas “Tom” Foerster, 49

Thomas “Tom” Foerster, 49, of Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on August 5, 2025.

Tom was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, partner, and friend. He is survived by his loving mother, Christine Rockwell, and father, Thomas Foerster; his sisters Carey Foerster and Amanda Cowins; his children Tabatha Lee (husband Kaleb), Seth Foerster, Hayden Foerster, and Keegan Foerster; his beloved grandsons Lynkin, Waylon, and Kison and granddaughters Jemma and Liberty; and his girlfriend and loving partner, Nicole McConnell. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends who will deeply miss his humor, his presence, and his unwavering love.

Tom was known for his strong work ethic and pride in his craftsmanship. He worked at Mang’s Vaults, did construction, and painted several commercial buildings throughout Greensburg — each one a testament to his skill and care. Outside of work, he loved to cook, garden, and browse flea markets and antique shops in search of treasures. He had a passion for collecting marbles, driving his Jeep, and diving deep into conspiracy theories. He had a rebellious spirit, a quick wit, and an unforgettable laugh.

Above all, Tom was a loving mate, a proud father and grandfather, a cherished son, and the fun uncle everyone adored. His presence lit up a room, and his loss leaves a space no one else can fill.

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 11:30 am. Rev. Mark Vice will be officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.gilliland-howe.com
