Thomas Alfred Hoff – Brookville

 

Thomas Alfred Hoff, of Brookville, was born on August 28, 1935 in Bath, Indiana, the son of John A. and Mary Bischoff Hoff.  He served his country with the United States Navy and the National Guard.  Thomas married Regina Ann Fehlinger on August 6, 1960 at St. Michael Church in Brookville.  Thomas was a lifetime farmer and worked at Wal-Mart in Oxford, Ohio.  He was a member of St. Michael Church and the Brookville Knights of Columbus Council #1010.  Thomas will be remembered for his generous caring demeanor, his jokester attitude and giving his grandchildren nicknames – which earned him the title of “Silly Goofy Grandpa.”  On Monday, May 8, 2017, at the age of 81, he passed away at McCullough Hyde Health in Oxford, Ohio.

 

Those surviving who will cherish Tom’s memory include his wife of over 56 years, Regina Hoff; children, Mary Elaine Hoff of Nashville, TN, Edward John (Laura) of Fairborn, OH, Anne Marie Hoff (John L. Freidline) of Las Vegas, NV, Donald Carl Hoff of Chicago, IL, Joseph Thomas (Candice) Hoff of Mendon, MA, Timothy Paul (Amy) Hoff of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Fatima Badreddine, Ali Badreddine (Yasha Sharma), Zachary Badreddine, Benjamin Hoff, Alexander Hoff, Lindsey Hoff, Chloe Hoff, Emma Hoff, Gavin Hoff, Rowan Hoff, and Piper Hoff; a sister, Rosemary Audritsch of Carmel; and a brother, David (Carolyn) Hoff of Brookville.  He will also be missed by his Wal-Mart harem.   Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Margaret Morin, Mildred Lang, Edwin Hoff, Leo Hoff and Carl Hoff.

 

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville.  Rosary will be recited at 3:15.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. John Kamwendo officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
