Wilmington, Oh. — The National Weather Service has included Ripley, Franklin, Decatur, Rush and Shelby Counties in an oppressive heat and humidity advisory for Friday, through the weekend.
Temperatures are expected in the low to mid-90’s during the period, increasing humidity will push heat indices over 100.
Use caution if you must be outside for any length of time. Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning. Drink plenty of water to replenish lost fluids. And most importantly, never leave a child or a pet in a hot vehicle, even for a short period of time. Look Before You Lock!
