Teen seriously hurt in Sunman ORV crash

Sunman, In. — Indiana Conservation officers are investigating an off-road vehicle crash that seriously injured a 14-year-old in the Sunman area.

A report from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources says at 2:30 p.m. Saturday the youth was operating the vehicle in the 22000 block of Shale Road without a helmet when he lost control and hit a tree. The impact threw the teen about eight feet away into a creek. Witnesses pulled the ten from the creek and called 911.

The victim is being treated at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for unknown injuries.
