SWITZERLAND COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a fatal ATV accident that claimed a teenage boy.
Trent Myers, 13, of Rising Sun, was a passenger in a Polaris Ranger that rolled on its side Saturday night in Switzerland County.
Investigators say a 17-year-old driver lost control of the ATV in a sharp corner, causing it to roll on its side, pinning Myers underneath.
Myers died Sunday, one day after being airlifted to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for head injuries sustained in the crash.
The five passengers were not wearing a helmet but were buckled in, officers said.
There are no charges being filed at this time as a result of the crash.
