Steven John Hadler, 74

Steven John Hadler, 74, of Greensburg passed away on February 16, 2022. He was born on December 5, 1947, in Greensburg, the son of John M. and Olive Pitts Hadler. Steven was a 1965 graduate of New Point High School. He married Rebecca Joann Young (Morristown) on March 26, 1972 and together they had three sons: Andrew, Randall, and Carl. Steven was a farmer and retired from Gecom, after 24 years. He was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, Gideons International, New Point Volunteer Fire Department, and was previously on the Decatur County School Board, Decatur County Fair Board and Decatur County Farm Bureau Board.
Survivors include: Wife, Rebecca Hadler; Sons, Andrew Hadler (Greensburg), Randall (Melanie) Hadler (Shelbyville), and Carl (Adrianne) Hadler (Morristown TN); Grandchildren, Elijah Hadler, Jesse Hadler, Joshua Hadler, Nicholas Hadler, Alene Hadler, and Matthew Hadler; Sister, Juanita (Dennis) Israel; Brothers, Rev. Dennis (Marilyn) Hadler and Dr. Kendall (Shannon) Hadler. Special exchange student Toshiro Shima (Akiko) (Tokyo Japan). He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Funeral Services will be at the Zion United Methodist Church on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 11:00 am. Rev. Jeff Burdsall and Perry Cook will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Zion United Methodist Cemetery.
