RIPLEY COUNTY, Ind. — The Indiana Department of Transportation is closing State Road 62 west of Friendship starting today.
The closure is in place for crews to build stabilized aggregate retaining walls to retain an embankment slide site located three miles east of State Road 129.
Motorists will be directed around the site via State Road 129 and US Highway 50.
The closure will remain in effect through July but will be lifted during the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association’s Spring Shoot which takes place June 9-18.
