Stanley K. McConnell, 70 of Greensburg

Stanley K. McConnell, 70, of Greensburg, passed away at 2:28 A.M. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at his residence. He was born on February 18, 1954 in Greensburg, the son of Donald William and Helen Mae (Jackson) McConnell. Stanley was a lifelong resident of Decatur County and enjoyed fishing, Demolition Derby, outdoor activities and working on cars. He is survived by his daughters, Jenny Roach of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Amy McConnell of Greensburg; a son,  Clinton McConnell of Greensburg; 3 sisters, Betty (Charles) Kiefer of Greensburg, Joyce Brindley of Westport and Mary J. (Mike) Alexander of Columbus; 2 brothers, Glen (Mary) McConnell of Sulfur, Louisiana and Jim McConnell of Greensburg; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruthann S. McConnell; brothers, Keith Edwin McConnell and Charles Melvin McConnell. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. According to his wishes he will be cremated after the service and be buried at Milford Cemetery at a later date.
