St. Louis Catholic School participated in a 5-way invitational meet at Connersville on Saturday. The St. Louis boys finished second with 121.5 points trailing Richmond’s 165 points. Shenandoah came in third with 107 points, Connersville finished fourth with 95 points, and Batesville Middle School in fifth with 83.5 points. St. Louis girls finished third with 90 points trailing Connersville Middle School’s 115 points and Batesville’s 225 points. Richmond came in fourth with 76 points, and Shenandoah fifth with 64 points.
Boys Individual Results
Jeff Gerstbauer- 2nd in shot put (36′ 11.75″)
Cayden Lieland- 2nd in discus (98’3″) & 3rd in 100m dash (13.07)
Griffin Koester- 1st in 1600m run (5:18.68)
Adam Weber- 2nd in 1600m (5:21.81)
Carson Hartwell- 2nd in 800m dash (2:40.11)
Boys Relay Results
The 4x800m relay team of Carson Hartwell, Calvin Padgett, Wyatt Steinkamp, and Cam Anderson finished second with a 11:51.42.
The 4x100m relay team of Rylan Hill, Adam Weber, Jeff Gerstbauer, and Cayden Lieland placed second with a 51.75 seconds.
The boys 4×400 meter relay team set a personal record and finished second, falling 0.66 seconds short of the 1996 school record with a time of 4:10.66. The team consisted of Will Huber, Cayden Lieland, Adam Weber, and Griffin Koester.
Girls Individual Results
Belle Young- 1st in 100m hurdles 17.77
Girls Relay Results
The 4x800m relay team of Josie Frey, Lillian Scheibler, Bella Watson, and Alejandra Schutte finished second with a time of 14:30.79.
The 4x100m relay team of Ava Becker, Maci Smith, Bella Watson, and Belle Young took 3rd with a time of 58.58.
Additionally, the throwers relay set a new course record, defeating Batesville’s 2021 record by 3 seconds with a time of 56.21. That team consisted of Ava Becker, Bella Watson, Jeff Gerstbauer, and Cayden Lieland.
