The Reds will be at the home of the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday night.

Not for a baseball game with a division rival, but rather to help raise funds for a local school and it’s mission trip.

St. Louis School in Batesville is hosting Reds Family Night.

Attendees will have an opportunity to hear the history of the Reds, view memorabilia from the Reds Hall of Fame, and even meet a former Reds player.

Chris Sabo played for the Cincinnati Reds from 1988-1993 and was a member of the 1990 World Series team. He will be in attendance along with Reds mascot Rosie Red.

You can’t beat the price of the ballpark concessions that are also available.

“All concessions are a dollar each,” said Carrie Wesseler, who has assisted with organizing the event.

A silent auction will also be held that will feature 2014 game tickets and other Reds items.

Proceeds from Reds Family Nigh will benefit the St. Louis Mission Team and their trip to Milford Center, Ohio in July 2014.

“We will help with home repairs, painting, building decks or wheelchair ramps,” said Wesseler. “Pretty much anything we can do.”

Tickets for the Reds Family Night are $5.00 and can be purchased in advance at Joan’s T-Shirt Printing, Schmidt’s Bakery, or Sunman FCN Bank. They can also be bought the night of the event.

The event will be held at the St. Louis Activity Center from 6-8 p.m.
