St. Louis Basketball Results Against Laurel

Basketball HoopsThe SLS 7th grade basketball Cardinals defeated Laurel Jr. High Thursday night, December 5 by the score of 32-27.

It took a balanced scoring attack from the Cardinals to defeat the previously undefeated Yellow Jackets from Laurel.

Sam Giesting led the Cardinals in scoring while Robert Raver led the team in rebounding and block shots. Gus Cooper provided a spark off the bench hitting a huge 3-point shot ending a late fourth quarter rally by Laurel.

The Cardinals moved to 11-0 on the season and will face Batesville Middle School Monday night, December 9 at SLS Activity Center.

The St. Louis 8th grade boys basketball team dropped another game Thursday night, losing to Laurel 51-23.

Chandler Meyers had a great night rebounding the ball, pulling down 12 boards. Kyle Siefert had a strong fourth quarter, scoring 10 of his 11 points.  Will Harmeyer came off the bench and gave good minutes on both offense and defense.

The Cardinals host Batesville in the annual Crosstown Shootout game next Monday.
