The St. Louis 8th Grade Lady Cardinals got back on their winning ways after a 34-5 victory over St. Nicholas. The Lady Cardinals started with a strong first led by the three 8th grades who scored all 10 of the 1st quarter points. The Lady Cardinals continued to create turnovers and Gina Grote distributed the to five different team mates leading to a 22-5 halftime lead. The Lady Cardinals once again came out strong after halftime and used a 10-0 quarter to put the game away. The Lady cardinals were led in scoring by Belle Young with 14 points and Olivia Leising with 10 points. Gina Grote had 2 points and numerous assists, steals, and rebounds. Sophia Leising, Maggie Tekulve, Ava Becker, and Grace Copley all had two points as well.
