In the NFL, J.K. Dobbins’ 29-yard touchdown run with 18 seconds remaining in the 4th quarter lifted the Los Angeles Chargers over the Bengals 34-27 on Sunday Night Football. Cincinnati overcame a 21-point deficit in the second half, but Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert engineered the game-winning drive, which was capped by Dobbins’ score. Bengals QB Joe Burrow passed for 356 yards and three touchdowns, and wide receiver Tee Higgins returned after missing the last three games with a quad injury and had nine catches for 148 yards and a TD in a losing effort. The Bengals drop to 4-7 on the year.
Quarterback Anthony Richardson’s four-yard touchdown run with 46 seconds left in regulation capped a 70-yard scoring drive to lift the Colts over the New York Jets 28-27 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Richardson, who was benched two weeks ago, threw for 272 yards and one touchdown while running for two more scores. The Colts snap a three-game losing streak and improve to 5-6 on the year.
In the NBA, it was the Pacers over the Miami Heat 119-110 last evening at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Four Pacers scored in double figures, led by Myles Turner, who poured in 34 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
