The Reds beat the Minnesota Twins 4-2 last night at Great American Ball Park in a game shortened to six innings by rain, as heard on WRBI. Spencer Steer went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double 2 RBIs and a run scored. Nick Lodolo gave up three hits, two earned runs and struck out four in six innings to get the win. The Reds have won four straight, including nine in their last 11 games. They’re also a season-high four games over .500 at 39-35. By claiming the first two games against the Twins, the Reds have won four consecutive series – including three straight over AL Central teams Cleveland, Detroit and Minnesota. Cincinnati goes for the series sweep this afternoon when Nick Martinez goes to the mound. He’ll be opposed by Twins righthander Chris Paddack. Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton practiced yesterday despite dealing with a calf strain. Haliburton says the work on the calf hasn’t stopped ever since the Game Five loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals. He’s listed as questionable for tonight’s Game Six in downtown Indianapolis. The Thunder lead the series three games to two, so the Pacers need to win tonight to force a winner-take-all Game Seven or their season is over. Broadcast time on the Sports Voice is 8 p.m.

The Indiana Fever begin a West Coast road trip this evening against the Golden State Valkryies. It marks the beginning of a busy stretch for Indiana, which will play six games in the next 11 days. This is due to the team advancing to the WNBA Commissioners Cup Final against Minnesota on July 1. The Fever are in a good situation right now, having won four of their last five games, after starting the season below .500.

The WNBA will not hand out any suspensions following the scuffles that broke out during the Fever’s recent victory over the Sun. Indiana’s Sophie Cunningham is receiving a subsequent fine in addition to the standard fine she earned for her Flagrant 2 foul on Connecticut’s Jacy Sheldon. Sun guard Marina Mabrey’s technical foul for bumping Fever guard Caitlin Clark has also been upgraded to a Flagrant 2 foul.
