The Reds return from the All-Star break tomorrow night when they begin a three-game weekend series with the Mets in New York. Cincinnati stands at 50-47 and in fourth place in the National League Central Division – 7 1/2 games behind the first place Chicago Cubs heading into the so-called second half of the season. The Reds are 2 1/2 games out in the NL Wild Card race.
Two more former Bengals are being added to the team’s Ring of Honor: cornerback and return man Lemar Parrish, who played for the Bengals from 1970 to ’77, and offensive lineman Dave Lapham, who played in Cincinnati from 1974 to 1983 before going into the broadcast booth. They’ll be inducted at halftime of the Bengals October 26 home game against the New York Jets.
