The Reds and veteran lefthanded pitcher Wade Miley have agreed on a minor league contract, according to published reports. The 38-year-old Miley is on the mend from Tommy John surgery after starting just two games for Milwaukee last season. He pitched for the Reds in 2020 and ’21, and tossed a no-hitter against the former Cleveland Indians in May 2021.

The Reds also acquired lefthanded reliever Taylor Rogers from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for minor league righthanded reliever Braxton Roxby. Cincinnati will also receive $6 million in the deal following approval by Major League Baseball.
