In Week Two high school football action last night, Batesville got past Milan in a back-and-forth contest 27-26 to keep possession of the Ripley County Bell…Harrison ended East Central’s 22-game winning streak by downing the Trojans 35-28…Franklin County rolled over Connersville 54-13…Greenfield-Central blanked Greensburg 35-0 in a game called due to lightning…Eastern Hancock topped North Decatur 34-8…South Dearborn shut out Madison 20-0…it was Rushville over Shelbyville 28-7…and Lawrenceburg blanked Taylor (Ohio) 15-0…The South Decatur at Shenandoah game was suspended due to lightning. The game will be resume at 3 p.m. Saturday with 1:14 left in the 2nd quarter. The Raiders lead the Cougars 20-0.
The Reds dropped both ends of Friday’s split doubleheader with Milwaukee at Great American Ball Park. The Brewers won the opener 6-5 in 10 innings and took the nightcap 14-0. The series resumes this evening. Coverage begins at 6:45 on 103.9 WRBI.
In the WNBA, the Indiana Fever knocked off the Chicago Sky 100-81. Caitlin Clark scored 31 points and dished out 12 assists for the Fever, who square their record to 16-16 on the season.
