GREENSBURG — Speranza House, a recovery residence based in Greensburg, has been named Indiana’s Recovery Residence of the Year by Mental Health America of Indiana. The award recognizes the organization’s remarkable growth and success in helping individuals rebuild their lives.
In 2025, Speranza House served 34% more residents than in previous years while expanding its services and locations. The facility reported a historic low 2% recidivism rate and a relapse rate of just 12%, significantly below the national average of 40 to 60 percent.
Speranza House provides safe, supportive housing for men and women recovering from substance use disorders, with a mission to foster sustainable recovery through community, accountability, and personal growth.
The organization credits its achievements to the dedication of its staff, the support of donors and the community, and the resilience of its residents. In addition to the facility being honored, Jeanne Wiseman was also selected as Peer Recovery Coach of the Year.
Looking ahead to 2026, Speranza House plans to continue expanding its impact across Indiana and offer more individuals a pathway to long-term recovery.
