Special bank account established to assist fire victims

Southeastern Indiana — A special account has been set up at Napoleon State Bank for the family that lost their home and belongings in a house fire on West County Road 500 North near Osgood late last week.

Donations can be made at any Napoleon State Bank location.

If you’re not able to get to the bank during business hours, donations can be placed in the night deposit box.

Those donations should be placed in an envelope and marked that it is to be deposited into the Rachel White benefit account.

If you have questions, contact the Napoleon State Bank.

Two juveniles were taken to Margaret Mary Health for treatment of burns and smoke inhalation following the fire.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
