Southeastern Indiana under an Enhanced Risk for severe weather overnight into Saturday morning

SOUTHEASTERN IN — You’ll want to keep an eye on the sky after sunset Friday.

“The main concern will be some strong to severe storms across the region, and pretty much all of the modes of severe weather will be possible for tonight,” said meteorologist Mike Karrow. “Some damaging winds gusts, large hail, and even a threat of some tornadic activity, as well.

“The Storm Prediction Center has us in the Enhanced Risk for tonight, so “3 out of 5″ on the risk scale,” Karrow added.

He said, with the potential for heavy rains, flooding is possible, especially in low-lying areas.

Karrow recommends having a way to receive severe weather warnings overnight.
