South Ripley couldn’t have gotten off to a better start in their Thursday night win against Oldenburg Academy, scoring 7 runs in the top of the first en route to a 13-1 win in 5 innings.
Oldenburg Academy’s lone run of the evening came in the bottom of the 4th.
Brooklyn Brown led the hitting charge for the Raiders, batting 3-4 with a double and 3 RBI. Morgan Meyer also had a good day for the Raiders, going 3-3 with 2 RBI.
Brown also had a standout night on the mound for South Ripley Thursday evening, giving up just two hits and striking out 9 in 5 innings.
Elisabeth Cranert and Penelope Cullen both went 1-2 for the Lady Twisters in the loss.
South Ripley improves their record to 1-2 with the win, while Oldenburg Academy drops to 0-3 with the loss.
The Raiders return to action at home on Saturday against South Decatur. The next time the Twisters will be in action is this Saturday, when they travel to Jac-Cen-Del to face the Eagles.
