(Versailles, IN) – Mason McNew’s game-winning home run lifted South Ripley to a 10-9 walk off win over Jac-Cen-Del in varsity baseball Monday.
McNew went 1 for 3 at the plate and drove in two.
Other stars on offense for the Raiders included Ethan Schmaltz, who went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs, two triples and a stolen base; Trevor Castner was 1 for 3 with a double and three driven in; Trenton Smith went 1 for 3 with a stolen base, and Brogan Buchanan doubled and was 1 for 3.
Braxton Wilson gave up eight runs (six earned) on 10 hits with five strikeouts and four walks.
Castner pitched an inning, gave up and unearned run and walked two Eagles hitters.
