Batesville, IN — St. Louis School 8th graders received a visit on All Saints Day from Weberding Carving Shop’s Tim Weberding, who assisted with the creation of the students’ biography pumpkins.

Weberding’s visit was sponsored by the Batesville Area Arts Council.

The 8th graders wrote short biographies about their Confirmation saints and took what they learned to create biography pumpkins.

Each student received a pumpkin to etch a picture of their saint along with three symbols that represent that saint.

Weberding taught them etching techniques and guided them as they worked on their projects.

The pumpkins were provided by the Brunsman and Fullenkamp families.
