The SEIclones 14u boys basketball team won the SIlver Bracket Championship Saturday at the Pacer Athletic Center in Westfield. It was their fourth championship of the spring.
The local team comprised of players from Batesville, South Ripley and Union COunty got by Five Star of South Bend, 52-51, in the semifinals. Nick Watterson fed Trenton Luers who hit a baseline runner with seven seconds left for the game winner.
In the title game, the Clones beat OPS 2026 White of Fort Wayne, 37-34, in a hard-fought match.
Additional team members include: Ethan Schneider, Caleb Mohr, Landon Raver, Brayden Mapel, Trevor Castner, Cayden Drake, Jaiden Kuria, Owen Enneking and Trenton Jordan.
