Brookville, IN — A Brookville man we told you about Monday who was caught slumped over the wheel of a pickup truck and arrested on drug charges is in more hot water.
Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies and Brookville Police officers served an arrest warrant last week at a home on the 1200 block of Fairfield Avenue as part of a prior investigation and arrested 44-year-old Kevin Pflum for Operating a Vehicle as a Habitual Traffic Violator (Level 6 felony).
While making the arrest, authorities say they found Pflum was in possession of Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
A subsequent search of the home led to the seizure of additional meth, other drugs, paraphernalia, and 17 guns.
Besides the unrelated felony charge on the warrant, Pflum faces additional preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 4 felony); Dealing Marijuana (Level 5 felony); Possession of a Controlled Substance (Level 6 felony); Possession of Marijuana (Class A misdemeanor), and Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C misdemeanor).
Pflum was lodged in the Franklin County Security Center.
He later posted a $40,005 bond and is currently awaiting his initial court appearance.
If convicted of a Level 4 felony, Pflum could face up to 12 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.
Once the investigation is completed, deputies will forward their findings to the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of what, if any, formal charges will be filed.
