Greensburg, IN — Decatur County Communications reports that it has received multiple calls from residents in the community in regards to phone calls claiming to be from the Federal Reserve Law Enforcement system. The call is asking for personal information, including banking information, regarding an arrest warrant.
These calls are scams and no personal information should be given over the phone, specifically banking information.
Unfortunately, these calls normally originate outside of Decatur County’s jurisdiction, so there is no report to be taken by law enforcement according to officials. Scam calls can be reported to the office of the Indiana Attorney General, by calling 1-800-382-5516 or by going to their website.
