Sarah I. Meyer

Sarah Isabelle Meyer, 92, of Manchester, Indiana, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Ripley Crossing in Milan, where she had been a resident for the last two years.

She was born October 16, 1928 in Moores Hill, Indiana, daughter of the late Samuel Benjamin Withered and Laura (Lattire) Withered. Sarah married Millard D. Meyer on December 13, 1946, he preceded her in death on September 10, 1989.

She worked at Seagram’s Distillery in Lawrenceburg for 25 years, retiring in 1988. She was a homemaker and was known for cooking delicious meals with fresh produce from her garden. Cherry Delight was her specialty. In addition to gardening, she also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, ceramics and helping her son, Bill, with farm chores.
Sarah is survived by her sons, Bob (Roxanne) Meyer of Versailles, IN, Bill (Kathy) Meyer of Aurora, IN; daughter, Julie (Jim) Minneman of Milan, IN; she is also survived by seven grandchildren, Doug Meyer, Rachel Woodall, Billy Meyer, Nicole Mobley, Josh Redwine, Andy Redwine, TJ Minneman and Jessie Minneman, and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Millard Meyer, and siblings, Wilma Dameron, Esther Simpson, and Donald Withered.

Private family services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
