Recount complete; Sharp wins Ripley Superior Court Judge

 VERSAILLES, Ind. – Republican Jeff Sharp has emerged as the winner for Ripley County Superior Court Judge after a recount Tuesday.

Democratic candidate John Kellerman filed a recount after general election results showed a difference of just 19 votes.

The recount process lasted from approximately twelve hours and 19 votes remained the margin of difference.

“I am looking forward to working with other individuals in the criminal justice system and really bring our criminal justice system in Ripley County  into the 21st Century,” Jeff Sharp said Wednesday.

A 3-member committee consisting of one Democrat, one Republican and another individual familiar with the polling process was formed to recount ballots.
