Ryan, Nicholson top finishers at Knight Flight 5K

The third in this summer’s Southeastern Indiana Racing Circuit (SIRC) events took place with Saturday’s running of the South Dearborn Knight Flight 5 K Run/Walk in Aurora.

The top overall finisher was 21-year-old Brayden Ryan of Miamitown, Ohio with a time of 18:05.

The top finisher in the women’s division was 18-year-old Lanie Nicholson of Versailles. The recent South Ripley High School graduate posted a time of 19:22, which was good for 6th overall.

In the 5 K walk, the top overall finisher was 67-year-old Gary Exaver of Sardinia Ohio with a time of 36:43.

The top women’s finisher was 49-year-old Ginger Peters of Osgood, who came in second at 37:30.

The next event in the circuit will be Saturday’s Lakeside 5K Run and Walk in Brookville. The registration form is available below.

Future SIRC races will be held this year at the following locations:
  • Milan- July 30
  • Batesville- Aug 6

The SIRC 5K run/walk races are hosted by local high school cross country teams and help support cross country programs across the area.
