Ryan named New Horizons leader; Dausch to be honored at open house

Batesville, IN — Jimmy Ryan will take over as New Horizons Executive Director effective this Saturday, April 1.

Ryan succeeds Marie Dausch, who is retiring after 45 years of service with the agency.

An open house celebrating Dausch’s career and marking her retirement will take place Friday afternoon from 2-6 at the agency’s headquarters in Batesville.

New Horizons empowers people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by creating opportunities through various programs and services for over 700 individuals in seven counties.

Dausch started New Horizons in 1977 and has served as Executive Director since 1992.

Ryan is the agency’s Community Employment Services and IT Director.

He joined New Horizons in 2015.
