BATESVILLE, IN — The City of Batesville says Rumpke has decided not to collect large items during their regularly scheduled pick up days on Tuesday, February 8 and Friday, February 11.
The company previously said crews would take large items during regular pickup this week after the first scheduled large trash collection day on Saturday, February 5 was canceled due to safety concerns following last week’s winter storm.
City officials say a large item pick up day is currently being discussed with Rumpke, and that the community will be notified once a new date has been selected.
“We are very sorry for the inconvenience,” wrote city leaders in a press release.
